Connect regularly with your core team using our communication channels:
Open up with your line manager, talk about what your enjoying, what's been challenging and how you can work together to improve ways of working
Open up with your wider team, and don’t be afraid to offer other constructive feedback

| Month 1. | • Familiarise yourself with Distinctly connect and our employee handbook and begin to understand our agency values • Get to know key people across the agency and understand their roles • Learn about our clients, look into their websites and understand their industries • Sign up to industry newsletters, join X and read a lot • Start studying for Google qualifications (if applicable) • Accustom yourself with your new job role and help with admin tasks in the team and start taking on task responsibility • Begin taking ownership of your own calendar and communication internally • Immerse yourself in life at Distinctly (attend any socials etc.) | | --- | --- | | Month 2. | • Have a positive attitude to learning and begin to share your wider reading with others in your team • Finish any training that was outstanding from your first month • Take greater ownership of your allocated work, whilst keeping regular and consistent contact with your line manager and team • Now have full ownership of your own calendar • Continue to build connections with team members | | Month 3. | • Verbalise your work based interests more, sharing what tasks your enjoying or would like to be involved in • Begin to consider the bigger picture and add the 'so whats' when sharing results, new learnings and your own reading with others in your team • Share feedback for others more regularly, especially if they can help you perform your role more effectively • Have ownership over your allocated work, whilst again keeping regular and consistent contact with your line manager and team • Continue to build solid connections with team members | | Month 4. | • Showcase a higher level of independence and self reliance in handling tasks • Clearly demonstrate your ability to priortise and manage multiple tasks at once • Strive for continuous improvement by learning new strategies and approachs • Seek opportunities to communicate with other members of your team to learn from them • Actively participate in company wide iniatives and events | | Month 5. | • Show increased confidence in your abilities and take on more complex tasks • Exhibit strong problem solving skills by identifying when something is challenging and proposing solutions • Maintain consistent and regular communication with the team | | Month 6. | • Have a high level of proficiency in the tasks you have been introduced to and worked on across probation • Demonstrate your leadership skills by beginning to take on additional responsibilities within your role • Provide constructive feedback for others in your team regularly • Reflect on your achievements and growth across the last six months, and develop thoughts on areas of focus for your next six months |
