Emma Holton
Emma joined the team in June 2022, after graduating from the University of Galway in Ireland with a master's in Digital Marketing. Emma had good theoretical knowledge of all aspects of Digital Marketing from completing her master's but lacked practical experience in SEO, which is something she was very keen to learn more about and become an expert in.
“Having completed digital marketing in university, I knew that I wanted to gain more experience and specialise in SEO and the Distinctly Academy gave me just that. I knew I wanted an agency role that would support and challenge me to learn and grow every day and work with a variety of different clients. Grace Smith
Grace joined Distinctly in May 2023, after working at Cranfield University as an admissions assistant. Grace had some experience in a voluntary communications role alongside her job at Cranfield. This gave her a good foundation of written skills, but she was looking for an opportunity to take a role where she could put this knowledge into practice.
“Having gained experience as a communications lead for a staff network alongside my previous job, I knew that I wanted to work in this area full-time. I wanted to work in digital PR to build on the communications skills I had developed and to work in an ever-changing environment with a range of interesting clients. Distinctly has been the perfect agency for this. In my first 6 months, I have learnt a range of Digital PR methods and developed the skills needed to gain great results for our clients. Now that I have graduated from the Distinctly Academy, I am the account executive on two accounts and the PR lead on another. I have gained links for clients in the Huffington Post, the Express and iNews.”
