Distinctly is committed to maintaining high ethical standards at all times. Our reputation depends on the conduct of our people and key partners. We must all be seen to act in a responsible manner, with integrity, in order to earn the trust of our colleagues and clients. It is therefore everyone’s responsibility to ensure this policy is understood and put into practice.
Principles
This policy outlines the basic standards of professional behaviour that we expect our people to adhere to at all times.
Failure to comply with the policy may result in disciplinary action, up to and including dismissal. Certain breaches will also be considered to be a criminal act.
The standards outlined are of a general nature and will not address every situation. Advice should be sought if there is doubt with regards to how to respond to, or deal with a situation.

Borrowing or making use of the agency’s funds or other assets, for personal gain or benefit is not permitted, unless they form part of the benefits package. The agency’s name, property and goodwill must not be used for personal advantage.
Under no circumstances must an individual disclose any confidential information to fellow colleagues or a third party. Our people are asked to sign a confidentiality clause within their terms and conditions of employment.
Individuals should avoid making claims, predictions and forecasts. Information must not be released even if it is thought to be true if it cannot be verified. It must be ensured that all information and documentation are true, not misleading, or inaccurate, are correct and that no material facts are omitted.
You are not permitted to make any copy, abstract, summary or précis of any document, including electronic information held by Distinctly, except as part of the duties of your role. It is important this is not circulated outside of the agency, unless it is authorised by your Line Manager.
In the event that you invent, discover or design any copyright in the course of your employment or arising out of your employment, then the copyright shall be invested in Distinctly.
There should be no conflicts between the personal interests of an individual and Distinctly. Activities that compromise or could be seen to compromise judgement, cause individuals to show undue favouritism to any party or receive a benefit of some kind must be avoided.
