It’s always sad to see one of the team move on but it does occasionally happen. From time to time, people do decide to leave for a variety of reasons, some of which may not directly related to your work i.e. relocating or changing career.

If, however, you are not enjoying your work at Distinctly and are thinking of looking for another role, we ask that you first speak openly to your line manager or a senior member of staff.

We will work with you to listen to your concerns. We can try and address any issues that are affecting your job satisfaction or at least support you in finding the best new opportunity for the future.

FIRST STEPS

The first thing you must do is let your line manager and the Operations Manager know that you’re leaving in writing, by email.

The Operations Manager will pick up the offboarding process from here, and guide you through it step by step.

They will start by sending you a resignation acceptance letter that will:

The individual terms of notice period are clearly outlined within employment contracts.

YOUR FINAL WEEK

We will be in touch with you right up until your last day, and will let you know any actions that you need to take along the way.

Within your final week you will have a 30-minute offboarding meeting with our Operations Manager who will conduct an exit interview with you. Examples of the questions you will be asked in your exit interview:

It will be arranged for all your work based equipment to be sent back to Distinctly.
